Celebrating Excellence in Medical Scholarship: 2026 Poster Presentation

The second BAMA Poster Presentation was another major highlight of the annual meeting. The presentation provided a platform for physicians and medical professionals to share their research, clinical insights, and quality improvement initiatives with colleagues.

By encouraging academic exchange and professional collaboration, BAMA hopes to support a culture of lifelong learning and scholarship among Burmese American medical professionals, including those preparing for residency and fellowship training.

We are pleased to recognize the winners in the three poster presentation categories.

We also sincerely thank every physician and researcher who submitted a poster, the reviewers who generously devoted their time to evaluating submissions anonymously, and everyone who helped organize and support the presentation. Their collective efforts made this academic component of the annual meeting possible.

We hope the poster presentation will continue to grow in future years, offering more opportunities for BAMA members to share their work, exchange ideas, and strengthen their academic portfolios.

Looking Ahead: A Stronger and More Connected BAMA

The annual meeting was more than an opportunity to review accomplishments and elect new leaders. It reaffirmed BAMA’s commitment to bringing Burmese American medical professionals together in support of a common purpose.

Through educational programs, community health talks, the BAMA Health Podcast, professional mentorship, and community service initiatives, BAMA continues to work toward improving health education, supporting medical professionals, and helping underserved Burmese communities access medical knowledge and resources.

As we look toward 2027, we hope to strengthen collaboration among BAMA members and build closer relationships with other Burmese community organizations and professional associations throughout Southern California and beyond. By working together, we can expand our reach, share resources, support the next generation of medical professionals, and make a greater collective impact.

We are especially grateful to our members, volunteers, poster presenters, reviewers, award recipients, supporters, and everyone who contributed behind the scenes. BAMA’s progress would not be possible without the generosity and dedication of this community.

To our members and friends who were unable to attend this year, we missed you and hope to welcome you at next year’s annual meeting. Your involvement and support remain important to BAMA, and we look forward to more opportunities to reconnect, learn from one another, and celebrate our shared accomplishments.

Together, we can build a stronger BAMA, support one another as medical professionals, and continue serving the Burmese American community through education, collaboration, and compassionate care.
